Three Fatalities in Newest Attack by Ukraine on Russian Belgorod Area

Three people have been killed and at least nine others sustained injuries in the most recent Ukrainian strike on the Russian frontier area of Belgorod, according to local officials.
The fatalities occurred subsequent to an assault on the Maslova Pristan settlement during Wednesday morning, officials said. Rescue personnel were persisting in looking for people feared trapped under debris.
For the third day in a row that Ukraine has struck the area, leaving thousands of people without power and a minimum of two more persons killed.
Series of Attacks Cause Damage
Wednesday's series of missile and drone strikes damaged homes, transportation and energy systems in multiple districts of Belgorod, per information from authority reports.
Sources published pictures from the area showing a sports centre with its building components demolished, and stated that rescue workers were removing wreckage and examining the harm.
In the close-by settlement of Moshchenoye, six individuals - involving a young person - got hurt when missile and drone hit a vehicle, while an individual sustained injuries when an automobile was struck in Masychevo.
Electrical Failures Hit Many
The assaults succeed 48 hours of comparable strikes that have led to electricity failures and infrastructure destruction in urban Belgorod and nearby regions.
Approximately forty thousand people were affected by power cuts across various communities, according to official statements.

Ukraine has dramatically increased the quantity of strikes targeting Russian petroleum plants in recent months, leading to gasoline scarcities and price rises in various areas of Russia.

The leader of Ukraine states Moscow is again targeting the country's power systems ahead of winter and has revealed extra monetary resources to fix harmed structures and establish a stockpile of materials to reinstate electricity.
"In spite of various obstacles, we must support the areas presently experiencing the most difficult period," he said.
